10.5. Circa 1814 - 1837 This outstanding plate measures 10 1/2 " in diameter and ready for display.

It is crisply transfer printed in purple with a pearlware glaze. The plate has a wonderful scalloped edge and a border pattern of a multitude of small sprays of flowers divided by 6 flower filled shields. Two women and a man play lutes with a marvelous background. The plate displays beautifully and is in great shape, a few light utensil marks and an age line to the rear.. Plates in this wonderful pattern don't come along often, and the contrast and composition is especially beautiful in this rich purple color.
